Louisiana homeowners insurance rates increased over 40% between 2021 to 2024. Alex supports attracting more insurers, expanding fortified-roof assistance, increasing transparency in rate-setting, investing in flood mitigation, and demanding measurable results from every reform.
BUILD A COMPETITVE ECONOMY
Located along a vital bend of the Mississippi River, the I-10 corridor, and home to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, District 92 should be a destination for investment, innovation, and business growth. Alex will promote a business-friendly climate, support Louisiana FastStart, strengthen assistance for small and veteran-owned businesses, and pursue legislation that cuts bureaucratic red tape.
CREATE CAREER PATHWAYS
Our education system should prepare high school students for lasting careers—not simply their first jobs. As a representative, he will invest in the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, strengthen the Jump Start initiative, and expand partnerships that match training programs with the needs of local employers. Alex is committed to protecting TOPS so Louisiana students can pursue college, technical training, and industry credentials without leaving the state to find opportunities.
MODERNIZE ESSENTIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Reliable infrastructure is essential to protecting our homes and supporting future growth. Alex will advocate for new investment and sustained maintenance of District 92’s roads, sewer and drainage pumps, flood-mitigation systems, and other critical infrastructure through active engagement in the state’s capital outlay process. He will work to secure the state and local matching funds needed to compete for federal grants and partner with Louisiana’s congressional delegation to ensure our community receives its share of federally funded infrastructure projects.
REVITALIZE BLIGHTED AND ABANDONED PROPERTIES
Vacant commercial buildings and abandoned malls hold back surrounding neighborhoods, depress property values, and discourage new investment. Alex will pursue stronger enforcement tools and streamline the legal and administrative process for addressing large, abandoned sites. Working with local officials and economic-development partners, Alex will help return neglected properties to productive use.
PROTECT TAXPAYER DOLLARS
Taxpayers deserve to know where their money is going and whether it produces results. Alex will push for clear performance measures for publicly funded programs, regular reviews of ineffective or duplicative spending, stronger fraud prevention, and transparent reporting to ensure every taxpayer dollar is spent responsibly.
